Book Talking - The After Series By Anna Todd

Hello and welcome to the Creative-Capsule ...!!!

Today we are going to discus the wattapad sensation series 'After By Anna Todd', and I cant even begin to tell you how much I enjoyed these books. There are total of five books in this series:

Book 1 - After

Book 2 - After We Collided 

Book 3 - After We Fell

Book 4 - After Ever Happy

Book 5 - Before

I am mostly going to talk about the Book 1 because I don't want to accidently reveal the secrets that make this series so intriguing. Well the Book1 is not in the picture above because I read it as a eBook. So this is a story about Tessa, a good girl with a steady boyfriend , who falls hard and fast for a bad boy Hardin. Hardin is mean, rude and completely unlikable main character, but the romance is extremely intense and overwhelming. Hardin has a damaged past that fills him with so much anger and hate for himself and everyone around him, especially Tessa. So in the entire series along with Hardin you will also hate Tessa for not hating Hardin and forgiving him for every mistake. Its heart touching to see both Hardin and Tessa refuse to give up on each other, no matter what. Let me tell you that end of Book 1, 2 & 3 are a cliffhanger, so when you finish Book 1 you would be desperate to read Book 2 and so on. 

I managed to finish the Book 1- 4 in about 5 days and it reminded me of my college times when I would rapid read day and night. I haven't done that in a long long time, but this story kind of haunted me until I finally finished it. I personally, found Book 4 a bit dragging but I was still sad about the series coming to an end. And then I was glad to find out that there is a Book 5 - 'Before' which is kind of a prequel to Book 1. 'Before' is more like Hardin's story before he meet Tessa. Even though it has some repetitive parts from Book 1, it is equally interesting to know what's going through Hardin's mind during all those times.

The movie  'After' based on Book 1 has been out in 2019 and 'After We Collided ' is set to release in 2020. Although I loved the cast of the movie, I thought it did not do justice to the book. The movie seemed almost like a trailer of the book. In my opinion it should be made into a series instead.

All and all, After By Anna Todd is a great read. It is a perfect bad boy romance which turns out to be very different from the typical. It is beautifully written and the plot flowed well throughout the series without being predictable.  If you pick up these books then be ready to go on a emotional rollercoaster,and if you have already read it ( or watched the movie ) then let me know your opinions in the comments below.
